CLEANING UP THIS SUMMER

Summer’s been a wash out so far – but if you’re still hopeful some sunshine is on the way, here’s the lowdown on the products available to help revive your patio or block paving in preparation!

Constant rainfall can be tough for patios, with the relentless moisture and cold temperatures ingraining dirt and encouraging mould and algae. If your patio is looking a bit worse for wear, Thompson’s Advanced Patio and Block Paving Cleaner is the ideal solution. As well as reviving your patio and block paving, helping to remove dirt and grime and killing mould and algae, this powerful cleaner also protects the surface from algae growth for up to six months.

It’s easy to apply and quick to do. Simply give the surface a decent scrub with a stiff bristle brush before then pouring on the cleaner and giving the area another really good scrub. For best results, it’s recommended to get the job done on a dry day with temperatures above 10 degrees. Give the tin a good old shake before pouring the contents into a roller tray. Then, using a long pile roller, apply the solution in long smooth strokes, before waiting four hours and then putting on another coat. If your patio or block paving has a really rough surface, you may need to apply a third coat. And that’s it! Now all that’s left to do is enjoy your outdoor space (when the sun eventually appears), confident that it’ll stay looking great for longer.
